StriderPI was specifically created to help new PI’s get started.
Whether you are a newbie, a rookie (2 years or less) or a lateral transfer from law enforcement or the military, we’ve got your back.

Dave Amis
GM, Texas PI, CFE, MBA, & Lead Instructor
Dave Amis is a co-founder of the StriderPI Academy and its lead instructor.
Previously he worked as a Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy, a Colorado Ranger, a police academy instructor, a finance instructor, and an adjunct college professor.
Dave is unique in the PI world in that he previously had a 20-year career in business, as a CEO and advisor to super wealthy families. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and is also a graduate of the Southwest Regional Law Enforcement Academy.
Aside from teaching, he specializes in major case fraud, burglary, theft, HOA’s, and MUD’s.
Luke Sloan
Recon Marine, OSINT, Co-Founder
Luke Sloan is a co-founder of the StriderPI Academy and a Recon Marine.
Luke served as a team leader with Marine reconnaissance on multiple tours overseas. He is a licensed investigator, highly proficient in surveillance and counter-surveillance operations. He is also an expert at open-source intelligence and investigations. Luke has worked with multiple foreign militaries on joint operations targeting and disrupting terrorist’s activities.
Luke received a BA from Texas A&M University with a focus on International Commerce and Counter-Terrorism.
Luke owns two companies, one that specializes in cybersecurity and privacy for high net-worth individuals and families. Another company specializes in international protection and recoveries.
Tuleta Copeland
Special Agent with the FBI, Supervisory Agent, OSINT, Co-Founder
Tuleta Copeland was a former FBI Supervisory Agent and a co-founder of the StriderPI Academy.
In 2021, Tuleta created the initial OSINT course for SPIT. She was one of the best known OSINT experts within the Texas PI Community and probably taught more Texas Pi’s than anyone.
At the Bureau, Tuleta specialized in white collar crime but also worked many different kinds of cases including kidnappings, extortion, organized crime, and many more.
Tuleta passed on April 25, 2024.
